July 17 Rifle Program Newsletter

We had a warm, sunny day on the range for our match. Thunder storms stayed away. There was a light turn out of competitors, 20 shooters fired 38 matches. Competitors took home a total of 17 CMP Achievement Pins, with at least one pin in every eligible category and a gold in all but one. Good shooting.

Mark your calendars. We will do it all again at Crooked Creek on Saturday, 21 August.

The cover over the west rimfire range is under construction. Maybe, by the August match we'll be able to use it. Crooked Creek members, come out and help on Tuesday evenings beginning at 1700. The more hands, the sooner we can complete it.

Thanks to our match volunteers, without whom there would be no matches.

There will be at least three of us from Crooked Creek competing in the Rimfire Sporter match at Camp Perry on 25 July. I don't know who plans to shoot the other Games matches or in the Nationals. Good luck to all. Let's bring home some hardware.

C-ya on the range.
